Brian Luhr been associated with Christ Church St Laurence since 1976 and has served at the altar for three decades. He was appointed Head Server in Advent, 2002. He leads the serving team to ensure the smooth running of the sanctuary, and upholds the great traditions of the liturgy. He works closely with the priests and choir and is responsible for the reading rosters. Recent achievements have been the restoration, purchase, fund raising and ongoing maintenance of the church’s extensive and priceless vestment collection. Brian also actively supports Christ Church’s contribution to the homeless by way of the Cana Community, has served as People’s Warden and Parish Nominator, and actively participates in the Parish Council. Brian is a skilled Service Executive for Telstra, working specifically for the Anglican, Catholic and Uniting Church portfolios. He is the father of three children and has four grandchildren. On Friday 18 July 2014, Brian was admitted as a Minor Companion of the Oratory of the Good Shepherd (OGS) and was admitted as a Probationer on the Feast of the Assumption, 2015.
